I loved this book! It's based on a fascinating true story--let me first preface this by saying that I have not read Dr. Zhivago but it is on my list!--so it's not necessary to read it to understand or enjoy/love it. Anyway--basically it has two parts: women secretaries who served in the CIA that helped to smuggle copies of Dr. Zhivago in the midst of the Cold War. Simultaneously, the book focuses on the author himself, Boris Pasternak, his muse/inspiration, and their love.
