European Mennonites began settling in Bolivia in 1927. Between 2005 and 2009, women and children from this community were being serially drugged and raped by a group of men from their village. Age was no deterrent. While the other men from their community were focused on getting the rapists out of jail, the women met and decided they could leave, remain and suffer, or remain and fight. There were so many obstacles and mind you, they couldn't read or write! How would they succeed? It's the dialogue between the women that is so powerful. They have found their voice!

This was a Top 10 of 2019 for Barb and Julie.
